Why Every Home’s Painting Estimate is Different
Every home is unique, and exterior painting costs can vary widely based on several key factors. The size of your home, the type of siding, and the height of the structure all play a significant role in determining the final price.
Additionally, the condition of the surfaces, the complexity of the job, and the quality of paint used all impact the overall cost.
At Remod Home Solutions, we understand these variables and provide personalized, transparent pricing tailored to your home's specific needs, ensuring you receive the best value for your investment.

EMERALD

EMERALD
RAIN REFRESH

The type of paint you choose can have a significant impact on the overall cost of your project. Latitude® offers great value with a durable finish, perfect for homes in more temperate environments. However, for long-lasting protection in harsher climates, Emerald® Rain Refresh™ offers superior performance with its self-cleaning technology, making it more expensive due to its advanced features like enhanced UV protection, dirt resistance, and mildew prevention. The more premium the paint, the longer it lasts, but the initial cost can be higher.
Additionally, whether your home’s current cladding (siding) requires a full coat of primer or just primer in certain areas depends on its condition. Older or weathered siding often needs a full coat of primer to ensure proper adhesion and coverage, while newer or well-maintained surfaces may only need primer in specific spots. These factors all contribute to the final price of your exterior painting project.
What we look for when we estimate...

-
Size of Home: More surface area = more materials and labor.
-
Type of Siding: Stucco, brick, wood, and vinyl all require different prep and paint techniques.
-
Height of Home: Two- and three-story homes require more safety measures, slowing the process.
-
Paint Quality & Number of Coats: High-end paints (like Sherwin-Williams Duration® or Emerald®) last longer but cost more.
-
Prep Work & Repairs: Scraping, caulking, and priming add to the time and cost.
-
Project Complexity: Intricate trim, multiple colors, or hard-to-reach areas require more time.
